Mission Statement

“Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation” aims to increase the participation and contribution of Bangladesh's millions of men, women and children with disabilities in all aspects of life. The primary idea is to create a network among people with disabilities and groups and organizations that work with and for such affected individuals, and then to let each benefit in whatever way they can. “Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation’s” functions as a think tank, an information clearing-ground, and aspires to aid physically challenged people enhance their life.
Our mission is to provide information that will help persons with disabilities become independent. But we say to the physically challenged person that instead of providing you with a wheelchair, we will try and work for a policy that will guarantee some long-term improvement,"
In the first year of its functioning, “Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation” held scheduled meetings and open houses, and these provided information about options for earning. The focus of “Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation’s activities at that time were on income generation. It also set out to prove that disabled individuals can also contribute to the economy, and is not an economic 'burden on society'. “Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation” has been working with business leaders in order to help them understand how disabled persons can provide the right skill-sets to the market-place. “Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation” takes home feedback from businesses and organizes training sessions accordingly; it is hoped that corporate houses will support the empowerment of persons with disabilities because it is mutually beneficial to both the business community and the disabled community.



AREA OF OPERATION OF THIS FOUNDATION:


The Area of Operation of the FOUNDATION shall be extended all over Bangladesh fulfill all other criteria the Foundation shall be extended all over the World.

**NATURE OF THE FOUNDATION:

It is a Non-Trading, Non- Political, Non- Government, Charitable and Voluntary Organization.

**OBJECT OF THE FOUNDATION:

The main Objects for which the Foundation is established are mentioned below:
All the objects will be implemented after obtaining necessary permission from the concerned authority or competent authority / Government and the objects contrary to the provision of section 20 of the Act 1860 shall be treated as ineffective.

1. To publish, run & maintain- Educational, Treatment, and Rehabilitation and to establish equal participation, opportunity & equal rights for the entire Disable People in our Society.

2. To increase awareness all of the people include- “man-women, disable, helpless, shelter less, landless etc. and to become them self- independent by making –lather goods, candle, toys, shopping bags, and items of mud, of bamboo, cane & wood. According to their need, we will arrange proper training and economical support.”

3. To use domestic asset of govt. & non-Govt. sectors and establish hotel & tourist attractive area for the welfare & earning money to this Foundation and create the opportunity for the unemployed people.

4. To arrange treatment in domestic & abroad for the disable people.

5. To arrange charity cultural program by the famous artist of domestic & international of any country for the welfare of the disable people.

6. To publish & run –Newspaper, Magazine, Books of- Science, Literature, Religion & Culture.

7. To include by contacted other organization / Institute / Project / Person for the welfare of the Disable people.

8. To buy- asset, land, flat and other necessaries wealth for the welfare of this Foundation.

9. To aware people about – “Dowry, Polygamy, Divorce, Old Mother health Care, Child Care, Acid Throwing, Beggar etc.” and take necessary step for their welfare.

10. To execute different types of social, human and environmental development activities and develop all kinds of human Rights.

11. To aware people about AID’S, acute vital diseases and to establish Clinics and Hospitals for the development of general health.

12. To publish, run & maintain –Educational & Vocational Institutes for the Disable people such as- Medical College, Para-Medical College, Medical Technical Center, Diploma Nursing Institute, Bio-Medical, HIV, AIDS, CANCER and many dangerous diseases Research Institute, Computer Institute, Internet Browsing Center, Vocational School, Technical University, Mosque, Orphanage, Madrasa, Church, Temple, etc. by the help of Domestic & International Donors of govt. & non-govt. sectors.

                 FUND MOBILAZATION AND UTILIZATION.

In order to be able to fulfill objectives of the Foundation, the Forum will-

1. Accept donations, cash or kind, from any person, institution, society, NGOs, foundations or companies from home to abroad and will use the same towards the promotion and maintenance of the objectives of the Foundation and create & provide funds to apply the same as the forum may deem expedite for the fulfillment of its objectives, provided that the Foundation shall not receive any foreign donation without undergoing the formalities as laid down in the Foreign Donation (Voluntary Activities) Regulations Contributions (Regulation) Ordinance (Ordinance No. XXXI of 1982) as amended from time to time.

2. Pay out the funds of the Foundation or out of any particular part of such funds all expenses incidentals to the formation and management of the forum or of administering any special trust or otherwise carrying out of any for the forgoing objects including the payments for the Salaries to person Employed.

3. Procure donation, subscription and charges or receive money, land building, furniture or other properties as official’s grants, participation in seminar, workshop or training with national or foreign help. All earnings of the Foundation would be engaged to fulfill the goal & objectives of the society.

4. To undertake any other lawful activities consider being helpful to extend the aims and objects of the Foundation not specified in this memorandum. Invest the money of the Foundation not immediately required upon securities or in such manner as may from time to time be determined by the Executive Committee.

  Dhaka Coronation School is only a school for Disable & Poor maid servant’s students at Banasree in Rampura. There are more than 150 students, 12 teachers, 1 Computer Trainer, 2 Office Peon (male & female), 1 office staff in this school. **K.L.INSTITUTE:

K.L.Institute is a Institute for Disable & Able at Banasree in Rampura Thana.There are more than 75 Trainers who are training in this Institute. Here all Trainers are Training with a little tuition fees. All expensive in this Institute is bearing Professor Kazi Lutfunnahar Lipi, Chairman of K.L from her own funds.. Institute and it’s Organized by “Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation”. All kinds of disable are learning here. All kinds of sewing items such as Block, Batik, Butik, sewing & Ambo-daring items are training here. Besides this Institute is teaching & learning how to cook various items of foods.
In this regard we would also request any foreign & local donors to help us by giving donations so that we can transform the disable peoples dream into reality.

** Dhaka Fisheries of Bangladesh-:

This project is started on the dated of January 1997. There are more than 235 fishermen are worked in this project. So more than 25000 people are benefit from this project. Every year this project get net profit near about 5,00,000/= taka. The “Sunrider Disable Welfare Foundation” bears its maximum expenses from this project benefit. Treasurer of this FOUNDATION, D.A.Akash, personally take good care the project. There are more than 30 fishing boat (engine), 45 fishing boat & net set more than 125 pieces to arrange the catching fish from the sea and river. This project is situated Dublar Char in Sundarban.

**Keraniganj Protibandhi High School:

Keraniganj Protibandhi High School is only a school for Disable in Keranigonj Thana.There is more than 350 students in this school. Here all students are studying without any tuition fees. All expensive in this institute is bearing Mr. Munir Hossain, Chairman of Sunrider Protibandhi Kalayan Sangstha. All kinds of disable are learing here. The Govt. of Bangladesh has donated a land to build the school building in Keraniganj. And in future we have a plan to build a state of the art school building with hostel, library & a computer lab for the disable people.

Keraniganj Blind Rehabilitation Center:

This center has been established specially for the blind people where blind people are given training here by a group of social worker so that they can get employed and earn a good living for them as well as for their family. Many of our blind members are working in our Candle factory.

Please support our vital work with blind and partially sighted people by donating money now. Your support will enable us to continue to make a real difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people.

**Keraniganj Badhir Shangha:

This is a rehabilitation center for the deaf people. Deaf people are trained here and thereafter work in our Paper shopping Bag making factory.

**Sunrider Candle Factory:

Sunrider Candle Factory is built for the blind people. Here all workers are blind. Blind are working here instead of begging. There are above 45 blind workers in this factory. Now they are very happy to join here.

**Sunrider Paper shopping bag factory:

Sunrider Paper shopping bag making Factory is built for the deaf people. Here all workers are deaf. Deaf people are working here instead of begging. There are above 100 deaf workers in this factory. Now they are very happy to be here and earning a very good living.
